On Tuesday afternoon, Penguin reached an Agency settlement with the DOJ, helping wrap up loose ends as Penguin moves toward its merger with Random House.

An open letter from John Sargent, CEO of Macmillan (the only Big 6 house that has not settled with the DOJ) on what’s happening and what might be next. It’s very straightforward, very full of interesting things to think about, and very recommended.
